Days after their arrival, it soon mattered not whether their Alice was a little strange – after all, who in Wonderland was not? In the end, the inhabitants of Wonderland came to accept their Alice, and O–Alice came to like them. He favoured them and their strangeness over the violence of a former life he never spoke of, and that was enough reason for him to stay, red dress and all.
